The Easy Peasy Piano Course

The course materials consists of an A5 booklet with text and visual graphics which includes:

- An instruction leaflet.

- Postcard with further information, websites, contact details.

- One CD Audio Vision - basic animated text, visual effects and piano sounds.  Animation was

  created using FLASH programme.

 

'The Easy Peasy Piano Course' CD can be used on all PC & Apple Mac Flash Player.

Profile

As a Private Music Teacher (under the name of Desrene Dekker), I create music materials and visuals for students aged 5-15.  For adult pupils I create DVD tutorial programmes.  I play and teach basic Piano and Acoustic Guitar.  I provide my own instruments.  I offer advice as to where pupils can purchase their own instruments.  

 

I teach basic elementary levels:

- Audio Visions (each DVD contains a short film footage, graphics, motion type and sounds)

- Percussion

- Listening Skills

- Posture and Positioning Skills.

- Games and Fun Packs for primary pupils.

 

Adult tutorials are optional, for example:

- One-2-one lessons - day, evening or weekend lessons

- DVD Tutorials Audio Vision - at the comfort of their own pace.

- Online Tutorials - *under construction.

 

 

BASIC KNOWLEDGE

Each student will learn the basics:

- Learn about their Instrument (Guitar or Piano)

- Positioning

- Posture

- Understanding, hearing and remembering notes

- Basic reading notation techniques

 

MUSIC TEACHING SKILLS

My teaching skills can help pupils with Maths problems, Self-Esteem Development. Especially in the areas of Focus and Listening Development.

Mathematics

Music Notation - series or system of written symbols used to represent numbers, amounts, or elements in something such as music or mathematics : algebraic notation.

 

Speed Reading & Multi Tasking

Score Reading - written representation of a musical composition showing all the vocal and instrumental parts arranged one below the other.

 

I have also taught my students singing and percussion as part of pupil's listening skills.
