DESRENE DACRES (Desrene Dekker)

As a Private Music Teacher, I teach basic Piano and Acoustic Guitar to students aged 5-15, using music materials and visuals that I have created.  My teaching programme contains DVDs with short film footage, graphics, motion type and sounds designed to help students during their own study time.

Using my creative skills, artwork ideas and music composition, I have created a series of multimedia products and production videos such as:

Corporate Promotion DVDs

Short films / Animations

Presentation Graphics

Music Audio Visions. 

SKILL PROFILE:

● Excellent knowledge of the principles of Graphic Design, Typography, Design for

   Print and Digital Print

● Advance computer software and IT skills

● Knowledge of repro, print and digital print

● Experience in handling traditional media (print, packaging, marketing, event staging)

● Insight on the genuine affinity for digital technology in the creative industries

● Practical solutions to client communication challenges

● Experience of traditional print and digital media projects

● Intermediate knowledge of creating and processing multi-media & web-design

   projects.

INITIATOR:

In addition to working in a team, I have had the opportunity to act in a leadership role in order to manage projects within a studio or In-house design environment and workshops.

ORGANISER:

When undertaking a new project, each team member has to determine their own priorities and targets as well as contributing to the project objectives.  Proven time management skills along with organisational and action planning skills. This has paid dividends with time management.

INTERPERSONAL SKILLS:

I relate well with others at all levels.  I recognise the importance of valuing an individual’s contributions and strengths, believing that encouragement provides a positive foundation for future development.
